How to install?

PREREQUISITES:

Backup your data:
Before flashing the firmware, ensure you have backed up all important data. Failing to do so may result in permanent data loss.

Charge your device:
Make sure your Samsung Galaxy A12 is at least 70% charged to avoid interruptions during the flashing process.

Download necessary files:

  • Install the official Samsung USB drivers on your computer.
  • Download the latest Odin flashing tool.
  • Find and download the correct firmware file for your Samsung Galaxy A12 model.

STEPS:
Enable USB Debugging:

  1. Go to Settings > About phone.
  2. Tap Build number seven times to unlock Developer Options.
  3. Return to Settings, open Developer Options, and enable USB Debugging.

Download and Install Odin:

  1. Extract the Odin ZIP file to a folder on your computer.
  2. Right-click on Odin.exe and select Run as administrator.

Boot into Download Mode:

  1. Power off your Galaxy A12.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons together.
  3. When a warning screen appears, press Volume Up to enter Download Mode.

Connect Your Device:

  1. Use a USB cable to connect the Galaxy A12 to your computer.
  2. Odin should detect your device, indicated by a blue light in the ID:COM section.

Load Firmware into Odin:

  1. Click the AP button in Odin and select the downloaded firmware (.tar.md5) file.
  2. Ensure that only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked.

Start Flashing Process:

  1. Click the Start button in Odin to begin flashing.
  2. Wait patiently as the process may take several minutes.

Complete the Installation:

  1. Once Odin shows a PASS message, your Galaxy A12 will reboot automatically.
  2. Disconnect the device and follow the on-screen setup instructions.
  3. Restore your data and sign in with your Google account if necessary.
